Second Hour
  • Support time! We break into small groups, and share our latest joys and challenges.
  • Remember, everything said in a PFLAG meeting is confidential.
Speakers

A wide range of guest speakers discuss resources available for the LGBT community, or share information about concerns in our daily lives. One recent speaker talked about the GSA Network (Gay-Straight Alliance Network), a youth leadership organization that connects school-based GSAs to each other and to community resources. Another speaker talked about concerns of families with same-gender parents. At some meetings, we educate each other by talking about common problems before breaking into small groups.

Who Can Attend Meetings?

PFLAG invites anyone who needs support and understanding, and wants to learn more about sexual orientation and gender identity. PFLAG welcomes the participation and support of all who share in our goals of celebrating diversity, educating the public, and supporting LGBT people, their families and friends. You do not have to be an official member of PFLAG to attend our gatherings. Meetings are a lively mix of first-timers and old-timers, LGBT people who enjoy the supportive atmosphere, and friends and family members.
